Grid Art Project

I chose to create a sun, sunset, and hide the word 'hope' within part of the sunset. To me, the sun represents power, self and strength. These are three things that are important to me because I like to think of myself as independent and I feel as though to be independent, one needs the strength to live an almost, selfish, life and be that powerful to be determined to go after what one wants. I thought to put a sunset in my project because of course the sunset, goes along with the sun, but also because it goes along with being a symbol of energy I feel. And the reason I hid the word 'hope' in the midst of the sunset was because when I was creating this project, I was 'hoping' it turned out the way I planned, and also, whenever I do look at the sun and sunset (which tampa has been getting a lot of) it makes me very hopeful for the days to come.

Comments:
Luis: I really enjoyed your project. I loved the way the eyes come alive through the colorful paints while the rest of the piece is black and white. The shading is also an important part of the piece which you depicted on the tiger very well, making it come alive.
Sebastian: I like how the project almost seems a bit 3-D. I like that it the tree he used was a tree he had researched or had previous knowledge of.
Stef: I was amazed by Stef's project. The unexpectedness of her project was what made it so incredible. I was fascinated how it was made through hand but digital.
Danielle: I really liked the ribbon or string Danielle used to create an abstract image of the flags.
Emily: I thought this project was so cute. I like how Emily used m&m's to create the image.
Francesca: I like how Francesca transformed the cards into an image of a shark. I like how she used the theme of a 'casino' by using a poker chip as the sharks eye.
Jon: I thought Jon's project was very creative. I thought it was a great and different idea to make his project 3-D. His project also had a great texture.
Hannah: I LOVED this project. It was such a clever but simple idea to use bubble wrap. Also she was very resourceful by using nail polish as her paint.
Grace: I thought this project was great. I love how she depicted the Michael Jackson pose and used a burnt cork to create the background.
Amanda: I love Amanda's project. It made me smile and she depicted the ghost from Pac-Man so well. I love the idea that it lights up.
